If you've never tried the game, I'd recommend it
Landfall rewards you for playing land cards, and Kicker makes your spells more powerfulif you have enough mana
Once you get a second Obscuring Aether online, you are capable of doing so much all of the time and a lot of fundamental costs start breaking down
If you stick solely to Vampire Aristocrats like the precon promotes then I think Clavileno and Carmen are about the same power level where it boils down your own preferences and your own meta: Clavileno is cheaper and provides a slow but consistent payoff, whereas Carmen is more expensive but also more explosive and randomly becomes more powerful if you happen to play against decks that sacrifice a lot (fetchlands, treasures, other Aristocrats etc.)
The deck also comes with a bunch of great equipment, like Behemoth Sledge and Champion's Helm, as well as the all new Summoning Materia which acts as both an equipment and a The Reality Chip for creatures
Remember to have a variety of trainer cards, as they are essential for setting up your Pokmon and helping you win battles
