Whats important to us right now is the idea that theres midrange and then theres midrange, and two different midrange things can want and value incredibly different things
For example, the last ability will count experience counters that you got from the first ability, from another ability, from another copy of Toph, Earthbending Master, and so on
It will also trigger if it became blocking as a result of effect or a creature that has been put on the battlefield blocking, but only if a creature with ability was not blocked before (see rule 509.1h)
