The crystals are standard elongated hexagonalcolumnar quartz with transparent and complete morphology. Ironblack flaky specular hematite (a variety of hematite) is scattered in granular and spotted forms across the crystal surfaces. Notably, the basal surface of the quartz is a natural primitive growth face instead of a fractured
