In German culture, this good luck is attributed to frogs ability to only go forward, never backward. The adorable frog brooch dates to the early 1900s (circa 1915 1930). The frog is 14k gold (unmarked, but acid tested) and ornamented with hand painted enamel, a row of glittery diamonds, and tiny ruby eyes. The brooch measures 1 inch from top to bottom by 1. 1 inches
