Vintage Kimono Haori Jacket - Shishi & Temari Ball/ Misty Vanilla Purple plate Via Camerelle: A citrus top1900s 1920s, Japan A very high quality piece from Taisho era Japan, this kimono jacket of soft drapey silk is masterfully handwoven through with gold, silver, and lacquered threads to form a pattern of rock lions, called shishi, and temari balls, a type of folk art from Japan. Hand dyed with a fading effect between contrasting golden yellow and purple, the silk lining is similarly beautifully printed with calligraphy and soft, traditional patterns.
