Harry Masters Jersey Year:2 YR said to leave the handsA late mid season bittersweet cider apple. Green yellow skin with dark red flush. Sweet and astringent with white flesh sometimes reddening below the skin. Makes a very good quality cider. A good cropper. Harry Masters was the nurseryman at Woolston, Somerset. He raised both this variety and Yarlington Mill, possibly seedlings of the same parentage. Both varieties were popular choices in the late nineteenth century.
