difficult to see with the naked eye (looks worse in photos than in reality) plenty of silk here for a good sized project

this cloth has some marks on the central velvet panel which it may be possible to remove with specialist cleaning (see pictures)

Jacobean Red work Embroidered Panel: C16th English Indonesian batik This is a service weAn very rare, Jacobean redwork embroidered panel in an oval shape dating the 16th century. Redwork was popular and is worked in the same style as blackwork, hand embroidered in a single colour onto a white or off white ground. Probably taken from bed hangings this panel is a lovely example of embroidery from this era. Measurements: 38cm tall x 30cm wide Condition: Signs of wear commensurate with age, multiple tears and some discolouration. Red thread
