Honor My heart tells me that Honor is secretly just a very good card, but Im trying to temper expectations here
If I was building Izzet Lessons with an infinite budget rather than on a zero rare / $30 budget, the non-land cards in the deck would look almost exactly the same, but the one place the deck would get a massive upgrade if budget wasn't a concern is the manabase, which is currently one tapped dual land and a bunch of basics
He is great in ramp decks where he gets Mana Vault, Voltaic Key, Mana Crypt and of course lands and he is great in combo decks where he gets Lions Eye Diamond, Pyrite Spellbomb, Chromatic Star and many of the previously mentioned cards too
You'll take a hit on power and consistency by playing the alternatives, but you'll have more money in your pocket to allocate elsewhere
At the time we went to press, there were still unpreviewed new cards in these decks which are also in the main set, so not mentioning them isnt an oversight
Also somewhat of a sac outlet if you have a lot of artifact tokens
