Building your deck can be challenging, but there's no reason you have to do it painfully, card by card
But before we submerge into such unfathomable depths, lets just look at Sundial of the Infinite card
If you need ways to give your permanents hexproof, you can include one of these cards: Dawn's Truce Dawnglade Regent (as long as you are the monarch) Heroic Intervention (until the end of that turn its cast) Privileged Position Restoration Magic (must pay ) Sigarda, Font of Blessings Simic Charm (until the end of that turn it is cast) Wrap Up Witchbane Orb | Illustration by John Avon Integrate at least 2-3 spells that grant you hexproof in your decks to keep you protected from a lot of damage to the face, edicts that force you to sacrifice permanents, or forced discard
This means that Candelabra of Tawnos is probably a little bit less broken than the rules text on the actual card might look to people who are unfamiliar with the bizarre templating of older artifacts
(Subtypes include but are absolutely not limited to: Plains, Equipment, Aura, Arcane, Jace, Curse, Urza's, Ulamog's, etc.) The ability that defines Subgoyf's power and toughness applies in all zones, not just the battlefield
And you can play it at instant speed - you can hold up mana and cast this just before your turn, leaving your opponents with nothing to defend themselves
