You want to play more 2-drop mana rocks, so the Talisman cycle (Talisman of Dominance, Talisman of Indulgence, Talisman of Creativity) is a good option as they fix mana and come into play untapped
A three-mana creature with ward 2 is going to at least eat your opponents mana production for a turn if they answer it, or let you do your thing if they dont, and Ghyrsons thing is definitely worth doing
