Cards like Mickey Mouse, Detective and One Jump Ahead are the key to sapphires ramp strategy, as they immediately put a card from the top of your deck into your inkwell (you dont get to see what it is and it doesnt matter if the card is inkable)
Deathtouch lets it trade for any creature, hitting your opponent lets you dig through your deck to find better cards, and lifelink helps you stay alive against aggro
