Its never going to cost you that much, and it pays you back 2 mana the turn it comes down anyway

While maybe not as competitive in a Constructed setting, I still think it makes a good addition to any Simic or Bant build that uses +1/+1 counters and other ways to buff your creatures

Depending on the deck, this can be fantastic, turning rocks and whatnot into real threats that your token army can crew up for big blasts of damage out of nowhere
