If you reselect which player or permanent an attacking creature is attacking, that creature is still considered to have attacked the player or permanent as declared, but it is now attacking the new player or permanent
Here's the thing, though: It doesn't apply to any Garchomp ex , meaning that while it does work on cards like Garchomp ( Space-Time Smackdown ), it does not work for cards like Garchomp ex ( Triumphant Light )
I suppose thats to be expected from this group of Pokemon (according to lore) who were pretty sub-optimal before the mythical Pecharunt got ahold of them
