Just like Path to Exile, it's actually card disadvantage, (you trade your card to exile/destroy one of theirs and they get a land - total cards - You lost 1, they lost 1, and gained one, for a net of 1 card their way)
These include Hickory Woodlot, Peat Bog, and Sandstone Needle and can really accelerate any gameplan
This kind of quirky behavior is what I love about Simon, but also demonstrated just how complex that version of Deaths Shadow was to play

Those facts make Torpor Orb or Null Rod choices not based on what your deck does, but what you can reasonably expect the other decks to do and wanting to prevent it (and sometimes, even if youre doing it yourself)
