I'm not sure there's a good answer for this one, but I want to acknowledge that this was, by far, the number one complaint I got about the set

(Hey, theres another card for Spike!) Over-the-top cards like this are the reason few new equipment cards ever dominate their formatsWizards has found a clear example of too good. This is a card that can dominate just about any format you stick it in, and new players often underestimate its power
This is why I am not a huge fan of Lightning Helix over Incinerate in agro decks, you are the deck life gain is good against and mirror matchups in cube are very rare
Summary Izzet color pairing in Magic excels in card draw and direct damage, offering decks capable of soloing matches
The format is pretty saturated in this area, but I have to give props to WotC for giving us a new one to work with that comes with an interesting angle
