This is an incredibly potent combo when used with Either Merlin, Goat

In the mid to late game could give us a lot of extra counters if we have a graveyard, and that means lots of easy WWUUBBRRGG mana to use for our many shenanigans

Maralen, Fae Ascendant does the same with elves plus faeries coming together for a theft-style strategy

I do still really want all the unofficial Pikachu cards as well though, like the fourteen Japanese Sample Pikachu cards Im missing, or the Ishihara & Pikachu GX card that was given to the CEO of TPC for his 61st birthday, or a grey stamp Red Cheeks Base Set Pikachu

That synergy is a big reason this remains one of the best black cards in MTG for decks built around tight sequencing and resource control
