It has that nice Secret Rendezvous rate of three cards for three mana (assuming you still have three opponents!), but instead of piling the shared value in one place, it gives one card to each other player

Sideboarding in anything that can pressure the opponent in some way is helpful and Sulfur Elemental can do a nice job of cleaning up an army of Monastery Mentor tokens
