Lenticular bezel cut with addorsed chevron clusters, serving as a signet which identified the owner and could be used to seal legal matters. (In Ben Hur, the title character identifies himself by stamping Messalas tablet with his ring which bears the signet of Quintus Arrius). Worn from use and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear.
